The Mortdecai actress has two children, Apple (11) and Moses (9), with Martin. Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman were married for 11 years, before announcing their separation in 2014 and finalising their divorce earlier this year.

Paltrow described co-parenting with 38-year-old Martin as “hard” following their split. However, they are both committed to staying friends and raising their children together despite the end of their romantic relationship. The former couple have frequently been spotted together on holiday and with their children but it’s not always been easy, as Paltrow revealed, and they’ve had to settle their differences to keep things the same for their kids.

"It's definitely imperfect but it gets easier with time and you know, we're really good friends," Paltrow said (as E! reports). "I like him. He's great. He's a great dad and so, I feel lucky that we both, along the way, have been able to really put down our own stuff while we're together with the family and that we make it a priority to be together so that the transition for the children wasn't, you know, as brutal as it could be."

"And everybody does it in their own way," Paltrow continued. "It's hard and I would never judge anyone for doing it any way. Just, for us, we thought if we could maintain the family even though we're changing the shape of it, it would be, that would be our ideal scene and so, that's what we're trying to do.”

Although they will always be a part of each other’s lives, both have moved on since announcing their “conscious uncoupling” in March of last year. Martin has reportedly been dating Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence since September 2014 and Paltrow has recently been linked to Glee and Scream Queens co-creator, Brad Falchuk.
