Over a year after first announcing their ‘conscious uncoupling’ Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have reportedly filed for divorce. According to TMZ, Martin and Paltrow filed the official documents on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Gwyneth PaltrowGwyneth announced her separation from the Coldplay frontman last March.

The pairs’ business mangers are said to have been busy thrashing out a settlement agreement, which will divide the former couple's property and work out custody arrangement for children Moses and Apple.

According to TMZ, it’s all very amicable between the pair and they are expected to share joint custody of their two children. The agreement is reported to have already been signed and the divorce is being called a ‘done deal’ with all that's left is for the paperwork to be filed and signed by the judge.

Since announcing their separation after 10 years of marriage in March 2014, Gwyneth and Chris have continued to spend time together with their children most recently vacationing in Cabo San Lucas over the spring break.

Speaking to Marie Claire magazine in February about the break-up Paltrow said, ”I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore, and I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall.”

But as for her relationship with Martin since their split, the actress added they had “worked really f****** hard to get to this point”. Adding, “We’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”
