NO DOUBT singer Gwen Stefani is still bitter over losing the role of MARLA
in cult hit Fight Club to Helena Bonham Carter.
The sexy singer is now making her big screen debut, five years on, in
Martin Scorsese's Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator.
But she still remember the disappointment she felt when she lost the Fight
Club part, explaining, "Something I really tried out for was Fight Club. When I
got the script, I thought, 'I can't do that, it's too nasty.' But when you meet
director David Fincher, he makes you think it's the most incredible woman's
"And then you're suddenly like, 'Oh my God, I f**king want this part.'"
