Film friends of British director Guy Ritchie are convinced his work is suffering because of his marriage to pop superstar Madonna.

They are adamant that Ritchie's role as a family man is taking its toll on his career, after his latest film Revolver was slammed by critics and disappointed fans.

Director Steve Tisch, who teamed up with Ritchie to make gangster flicks LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS and SNATCH, has told his friend he will not be working with him again until he sorts himself out.

He says, "I would love to work with Guy again. But after Snatch and Lock Stock he has done things like SWEPT AWAY, which was not very memorable, and Revolver, which has had a lukewarm response.

"Guy is a great talent and a joy to work with.

"But now he his married and a father I don't know what he is doing."
