Australian actor Guy Pearce is still haunted by his father's tragic death in a fiery plane crash every time he travels by air.
The Memento star was just eight years old when his test pilot father died in 1976 during the trial of a new prototype aircraft in Victoria, Australia.
Pearce admits the memory of the tragedy troubles him whenever he is on a flight, and he spends most of the journey fearing a crash.
He tells Britain's The Guide magazine, "Every time I get in a plane I think about what it would be like to have the pilot say, 'Sorry, we're plummeting to earth.' And you're done."
