Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist IZZY STRADLIN thrilled fans on Wednesday (17MAY06) when he joined the band onstage for three songs. Stradlin took to the stage during the band's fourth and final warm-up show at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose had previously hinted that Stradlin might be joining the band onstage at some point during their upcoming tour. Rose introduced Stradlin before THINK ABOUT YOU, but his comments were immediately drowned out by screams from the audience as the guitarist strutted onstage. The two hugged before launching into the song, according to MTV.com. Stradlin, who quit the band mid-tour in late 1991, also played with the group on PATIENCE and NIGHT TRAIN, which featured guest vocalist Kid Rock. The four sold-out shows acted as a warm-up for the band's European festival appearances this summer (06).
