The excitement began with some of the world's most incredible sports cars arriving at Norrbro (North Bridge) in Stockholm on Saturday (May 23rd 2015) before kicking off their 3000 international road trip the following day, en route to Oslo, Norway. Once there, it's not only the epic car racing that was to be enjoyed, but skateboarding legend Tony Hawk also made an appearance to demonstrate the moves that made him a household name.

Meanwhile, other arrivals included more sportstars like retired British football hero Robbie Fowler and alpine ski racer Jon Olsson with his girlfriend Janni Deler. It was certainly a place where sports masters of all walks of life could be found enjoying the exhilaration of this epic rally, which has been going strong since its introduction in 1999.

Cooper started Gumball 3000 in 1999 alongside his wife Julie Brangstrup. It takes place on public roads and - while last year's rally began in the US before finishing in Europe - this year kicks off in Sweden and is scheduled to finish in Las Vegas on May 30th 2015. That's after taking a spin through Los Angeles, San Francisco and Reno, as well as Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark's Copenhagen.
