Green Day have been crowned the kings of the first decade of the new century after topping Best Single, Best Album and Top Artists lists in Rolling Stone magazine's 10-year readers poll.
The punk trio's American Idiot album beat Kanye West's Graduation and Radiohead's Kid A to claim the top spot on the albums countdown, while Boulevard of Broken Dreams was voted the best song of the decade by Rolling Stone readers ahead of Beyonce's Single Ladies (Put A Ring on It) and Beautiful Day by U2.
And the band also topped the artist list with Radiohead coming in second, U2 third and Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas rounding out the top five.
Also making the top 10 were Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Jack White and Jay-Z.
