Green Day's American Idiot musical is swapping Broadway for Britain as the cast is heading to the U.K. for a national tour.
The hit stage show, based on the band's acclaimed 2004 album of the same name, closed in New York earlier this year (11) before touring the U.S. over the summer (11).
Now the band's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, who appeared in several productions of the show, has announced dates in the U.K. and Ireland next year (12).
A statement from the star reads, "We're excited to be bringing the U.S. stage production of American Idiot to the U.K. and Ireland.
"We played to some of the most insane crowds when we toured the album there, and we can't wait for our friends across the pond to see the musical."
The run kicks off in Southampton, England on 09 October (12), and will visit cities including Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and London.
