The family of late THE QUIET AMERICAN author Graham Greene have blasted the writer's biographer for focusing too much on his sexual conquests.
Greene's relations are furious with NORMAN SHERRY for dwelling on the literary legend's libidinous nature in his third and final volume of his tale THE LIFE OF GRAHAM GREENE - at the expense of his achievements.
Greene's niece AMANDA SAUNDERS says, "The family are deeply embarrassed to be associated with a biography as poor as this.
"Norman does Graham a great disservice with his obsession with gossip. The biography is not only vulgar and poorly written but extremely dull.
"Norman Sherry is very like INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU. He doesn't understand anything, he gets many things wrong - he is a fantasist."03/10/2004 21:11
