Grace Potter, the 24-year-old American singer and multi-instrumentalist, performed with the 70's rock band Heart at last night's VH1 'Divas Salute the Troops' concert. Potter's band GRACE POTTER & THE NOCTURNALS provided backup for Heart's rendition of their 1976 hit single 'Crazy on You', and Grace split the lead vocal duties with front-woman ANN WILSON, reports MTV News.
60-year-old Wilson kicked off the song before strutting down the runway into the centre of the crowd for the track's chorus. Meanwhile, Potter played keyboard onstage before singing the second verse and the pair closed the performance by bellowing out the final lines in unison. Potter's band also got the chance to play solo, and after being introduced by Jersey Shore stars Nicole Polizzi and Mike Sorrentino, they treated soldiers in the audience to a performance of new single 'Paris (Ooh La La)'. MTV said, "Potter looked every bit the vintage rock bad girl, strumming her guitar, whipping her hair and wailing like she's been at this since forever".
The concert, which was hosted by Kathy Griffin, also featured performances from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and Keri Hilson.
