The team behind animated band Gorillaz are furious after the group's second album DEMON DAYS was discovered being sold on internet auction house eBAY.CO.UK - two weeks before the disc's release.

Gorillaz - created by Blur frontman Damon Albarn, acclaimed hip-hop producer DAN THE AUTOMATOR and artist JAMIE HEWLETT - first burst onto the scene in 2001 with their eponymously-named album and hit single CLINT EASTWOOD.

Record company executives were shocked to discover an eBay user, known as SAMKLG, is offering Demon Days for only $9 (GBP5).

A statement from the band says, "If we catch people selling our new album illegally on eBay we'll sue them until their eyes pop out."
