ABC's Good Morning America has beaten NBC's Today show for a second week this month. And, unlike its win two weeks earlier when Today 's Matt Lauer was on vacation, the latest victory comes with Lauer back at work. And its margin of victory was greater this time around than then, topping Today by 236,000 versus just 31,000 two weeks ago. Through last Thursday, Today remained slightly ahead among the key demo group -- adults 25 to 54 -- but The New York Times observed that the margin of victory was so small that the results could change by the time final ratings results are announced later this week.
