Cold Mountain, which was the most nominated film at the ceremony, took home just one award - for Best Supporting Actress (Renee Zellweger).

But the big surprise of the night was the success of British sitcom THE OFFICE, which claimed the Best Comedy TV Series and Best TV Comedy Actor prizes - for star and co-creator Ricky Gervais.
