Glee star Blake Jenner has launched a fundraising campaign to finance a movie he has written.

The actor is hoping to raise $100,000 (£66,660) on by 11 December (13) to make an independent film titled Billy Boy, which he appear in with his fiancee and Glee co-star Melissa Benoist.

In the promo video for the campaign, Benoist says, "We have the film partially financed, but we need your help to reach our goal so that we can tell the story and not lose any of its integrity.

"The two of us have always really, really loved and been passionate about independent filmmaking and unique storytelling, so that's why this film is really really important to us."

The story revolves around 18-year-old Billy Forsetti who is trying to give up his life of crime after falling in love with a waitress.
