Glee star Chris Colfer has been talking of how "anxious" he is to see the episode in which his 'Glee' character Kurt Hummel loses his virginity; the much anticipated event will occur on Thursday (November 10th 2011) as Kurt sleeps with on-screen boyfriend Blaine - played by Darren Criss. The portrayal of same gender sex is still something of a rarity on television and 'Glee's' impending script has been much publicised.
Talking to Billboard, Colfer said, "It covers a very sensitive topic, and I think the show is infamous for handling sensitive topics with care," before going on to admit his apprehensions surrounding the scene, "When I found out the concept for 'The First Time' . Darren and I looked at each other with huge, wide eyes and went 'what, that's going to happen?!' We got a little scared when we first found out, but when we got the script of course it was fine. Everything that I thought would scare me and make me cringe was sweet and emotional."
After a long period of time during the show where Colfer's character's suffered from bullying, initial rejection from his father and, indeed, his father's illness, it would seem that things are on track for him. However a new arrival, Sebastian (played by Grant Gustin), could be set to ruin that, with the actor saying "you should be afraid. Be very afraid."
