Last night's episode of Glee was called 'Never Been Kissed' (9th November 2010) and guest starred Darren Criss, who performed Katy Perry's hit track 'Teenage Dream', reports MTV NEWS. 23-year-old Criss, an American actor and singer-songwriter, played gay student 'Blaine'.
The episode focused on Chris Colfer's character 'Kurt' and how he attempts to overcome the constant bullying he receives from fellow class-mates, including the jock 'Dave', played by MAX ADLER. Fed up with the physical taunts, Kurt heads over to the rival school 'Dalton Academy', where he meets the openly gay 'Blaine'. The pair become friends and Kurt is eventually persuaded to head back and confront the bullies, however, when Kurt approaches bully Dave in the locker-room, they kiss each other.
When speaking about Criss' character to E! Online, creator of the show RYAN MURPHY said, "Darren has a major, major arc. He sort of becomes Kurt's mentor and then maybe love. He had to leave his own school because of bullying and goes to an all-boys academy and finds acceptance because that school has a no-bullying, zero-tolerance policy. So Kurt really admires him and respects him".
