LA band PAPA are pleased to announce details of their debut album, and a spate of European live dates for later in the year.
'Tender Madness' will be released on the 4th November through Island Records. It will be preceded by new single 'Young Rut' on the 26th August.
PAPA is the brainchild of Darren Weiss and co-songwriter and bassist Danny Presant. Their drumming frontman Weiss was raised in the Valley, and bass player/songwriting partner Presant out in the lush canyons.
Speaking of the record, Weiss said: "Some of the songs on this album that come across as love songs, or lustful confessions, have much more to do with my feelings towards America than any personal romantic longings.
"Some love songs were written about fictional characters in novels who were oftentimes far more compelling than the creatures I had access to. And sometimes, perhaps most often, I tried in earnest to tell my truths as I lived them."
In November the band will head over to Europe for a series of live shows including a headline slot at Dingwalls in London on 6th November, alongside performances at the Iceland Airwaves Festival in Reyjkavik and Les InRocks Festival in France.
