It was announced earlier this year that ABC series 'Once Upon A Time' would be featuring a Frozen storyline on its fourth season, and the internet was soon flooded with casting rumours and suggestions for the roles of Elsa, Anna and Kristoff.

Frozen'Once Upon A Time' will bring the animated princesses to life

In the end the coveted parts went to relatively unknown young actors Georgina Haig, Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster, but it looks like another familiar face from the hit film is set to appear in Storybrooke; the dashing but villainous Prince Hans. No casting has been announced for the role yet but undoubtedly social media users will be voicing their own opinions about who should don Hans' cravette.

It was revealed that the Snow Queen Elsa would be appearing when she made a surprise appearence at the very end of the season three finale, escaping a prison in Rumplestiltskin's vault. "What happened in the film was so beautiful. We're picking up these characters after the movie," show creator Adam Horowitz revealed. However, it's yet to be seen whether or not Elsa will be a villain in Storybrooke or a misunderstood heroine as she appears in the film.

Yet there has been a little disappointment for fans: quirky magical snowman Olaf will not be making an appearence in the show. The character, voiced by Josh Gadd in the film, was a fan favourite, but reportedly doesn't fit the 'Once Upon a Time' storyline. Instead fans will have to console themselves with the appearence of Kristoff's reindeer Sven, played by...a real reindeer, of course.

The series returns to television screens on September 28th.
