French actor Gilles Marini is on his way to becoming a U.S. citizen after passing a tough naturalisation test.
The Sex and the City: The Movie hunk has been living in Los Angeles with his wife and two children for many years and he recently applied for a U.S. passport.
The 36 year old subsequently underwent an interview with immigration authorities and took a citizenship exam to test his knowledge about all things American - and he passed with flying colours.
Breaking the news to his Twitter.com fans on Wednesday (30May12), he writes, "Today's a good day. Passed the U.S citizen test;) This is what I've been dreaming of for a long time! 1 more step. The oath ceremony."
Marini will be sworn in as a new U.S. citizen in a special ceremony later this year (12).
