Whipping crowds at SXSW into a sweaty dancing frenzy, complete with crowd surfers, Ghost Beach who are the NYC-based duo of Josh Ocean and Eric "Doc" Mendelsohn, are ready to bring the party back to our UK shores; their February run of London saw them invited straight back to Tooting Tram and Social to play again the night after their inaugural show.
The indie-pop pioneers have already set the internet ablaze with consistent number ones on The Hype Machine, and have perfected a blend of retro and futuristic soaring synth sounds they have hailed "Tropical Grit Pop", garnering them comparisons to MGMT, Yeasayer and Vampire Weekend.
Ghost Beach are a band who are not purely electronic or purely live, but a realization of what lies in the middle. They're more about a time than a place, and that time is now. Dates at The Great Escape, Live @ Leeds, Club NME and with fellow indie poppers Panama Wedding this May.
