Scottish singer Gerry Rafferty is fighting for his life in hospital after suffering kidney failure.
The 63 year old, who has battled alcoholism, was hooked up to a life-support machine after he was admitted to hospital in Bournemouth, England last week (ends07Nov10).
Doctors warned his fiancee Enzina Fuschini he had little chance of survival and switched off the machine - only for the star to begin showing signs of improvement.
Now the Baker Street hitmaker's family is hoping he can be transferred to London for specialist treatment.
Fuschini says, "Gerry is my best friend. He's strong and I'm praying he pulls through."
