Blues rocker George Thorogood and JULIANA HATFIELD are among the Boston, Massachusetts, stars giving baseball guru PETER GAMMONS a boost as he embarks on a musical career. The pair have teamed up with the revered US sports writer and analyst to record new album NEVER SLOW DOWN, NEVER GROW OLD. Gammons, who is most famous for his insightful baseball comments, covers tracks like The Clash's DEATH OR GLORY and Warren Zevon's MODEL CITIZEN on his first release. Boston Red Sox general manager THEO EPSTEIN and top players like TIM WAKEFIELD and BRONSON ARROYO join Gammons on the album. Sales from the DC will benefit the Foundation To Be Named Later, which raises funds for disadvantaged youngsters.
