British pop star George Michael has been left with a large scar on the back of his skull after a near-fatal car crash in May (13).

The Careless Whisper hitmaker spent almost two weeks in hospital after tumbling out of a moving Range Rover on the busy M1 motorway near London, which left him nursing bloody cuts and bruises on his face and arm.

He has been recuperating at home since the drama on 16 May (13), but he has now been photographed out and about, sporting a five-inch (12.7-centimetre) scar on his head as a result of the accident. The singer was also snapped with another scar on his left elbow.

Michael, 50, has been using his down time to start work on new songs for his next album.
