George Clooney may be tipped to win Best Actor at the 84th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, though it was his girlfriend Stacy Keibler who stole the spotlight on the star-studded red carpet. A former wrestler, Keibler has taken on a new level of fame since she began dating Clooney in 2011.
The 32-year-old teamed her floor length gold Grecian-style Marchesa gown with high heels and a square clutch bag, meanwhile, Clooney looked dapper in a black Armani suit. The actor already has one Academy Award - Best Supporting Actor for Syriana in 2006 - though could add to his collection tonight. This time, the 50-year-old is up for Best Actor for his performance in Alexander Payne's The Descendants, though he will have to beat The Artist's Jean Dujardin to take home the statuette. Before hitting the red-carpet in Hollywood, Clooney's girlfriend Keibler had tweeted of her excitement, saying, "'We are off!!!! I feel like I'm going to the prom. oscars SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!". Once on the red-carpet, Clooney told Good Morning America's Robin Roberts he was looking forward to seeing his pal Brad Pitt, saying, "I'll find him, you just follow the screaming fans".
Keibler's night at the Oscars comes just one day after she posed for a shoot for Vanity Fair magazine. She has become a regular on the red-carpet during this year's awards-season, and regularly topped the 'Best Dressed' lists.
