Actor/activist George Clooney is set to host a fundraising party for U.S. leader President Barack Obama next month (May12) in a bid to boost his re-election campaign.
The Ides of March star and longtime Obama admirer will welcome the American leader and 150 of his supporters at his Los Angeles residence on 10 May (12), with guests paying almost $40,000 (£25,000) per ticket.
All proceeds will be donated to the Obama Victory fund and Clooney insists he's thrilled about opening up the doors of his home for the occasion.
He tells Entertainment Tonight, "I'm proud to do whatever I can to support the President... as long as no one asks me to sing."
Clooney attended a state dinner at the White House alongside First Lady Michelle Obama last month (Mar12), just two days before he was arrested outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington, D.C. after joining demonstrators during a humanitarian protest.
