The renowned commitment-phobe has called time on his relationship with the former wrestler, with the two clashing over their opinions on long-term commitment
Get ready to be overwhelmed with excitement ladies, because George Clooney is back on the market! The actor has reportedly split from his girlfriend of two years, Stacy Keibler, with Stacy allegedly pulling the plug on the relationship because of Clooney's reluctance to take the next step in their relationship.
George and Stacy are calling time on their 2-year relationship
After spending two years together, Stacy was looking like the woman to finally tame Clooney's renowned commitment shy outlook, but instead she has been added to the pile of countless women who have failed to get the Hollywood heart throb to settle down. It is a stance that hasn't changed since his 1993 divorce from actress Talia Balsam, after which Clooney slowly became a household name and one of Tinseltown's most eligible bachelors. The break-up was reported by People magazine on Monday (July 8) by an unnamed source close to the pair.
"Stacy called it quits. She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that," the source revealed, going on to confirm the speculation that had been surrounding their relationship over the past few months. "They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago."
Clooney wont have to wait long for his next lady-companion to come along
According to the source, Stacy and George split up amicably and remain on good terms, with their personal outlook on relationships the only thing getting in the way of a longer relationship. Neither Clooney nor Keibler have commented on the supposed split, although having not been spotted together since March this year and spending July 4 apart, it looks as though the relationship could be over for good.
