George Clooney is a scientist again in 'Tomorrowland'
There's not a lot of information being revealed out this upcoming magical, sci-fi journey, but from what we gather we can expect a shedload of futuristic gadgets, an object of extreme power, a mystical land beyond reach and angst-ridden teenaged hero. Standard fantasy stuff then - but we wouldn't have it any other way.

After a run in with the cops, she discovers an unusual artifact - a coin sized pin with a large letter 'T' on the front that, when handled, seems to take her to a sun-drenched wheatfield in a strange land. Unfortunately, nobody else believes her newfound phenomenon so she is forced to explore the mystery behind it herself. She eventually stumbles across a old scientist named Frank Walker who informs her that the futuristic land she has seen is Tomorrowland, a place full of the smartest individuals set on changing the world for the better. And now he has his eye on Casey as his latest recruit. But it's a dangerous journey for a young girl and she has to be ready for a fight.

Clooney, who is known for his humanitarian work throughout the large continent, has written a New York Times op-ed, titled 'Sudan's Rape of Darfur,' in which he details the ongoing conflict in Darfur, as well as the lasting effects the genocide that occurred almost ten years ago has had.
Casey Newton is a gifted budding scientist, though has occasionally found herself in trouble with the authorities. On one such occasion, she finds herself suddenly in possession of a strange pin she has never seen before, after collecting her belongings at a police station. After picking it up, she is suddenly transported to another world, a futuristic looking world quite unlike her homeland. After the initial shock wears off, she meets a talented inventor named Frank Walker, who tells her of a place where it's literally possible to change the world, to create things that you would never before have believed possible. That place is called Tomorrowland, and Walker needs a companion for his exciting new journey there having been feeling disillusioned from the world around him. Together they must unveil the secrets of the land and uncover their limitless potential. This dazzling Disney adventure is named after the fantasy area of Disneyland which has never before seen screen action. At the movie's helm is double Oscar winning director Brad Bird ('Ratatouille', 'The Iron Giant', 'The Incredibles') alongside Emmy winning screenwriter Damon Lindelof ('Lost', 'Prometheus', 'World War Z'). 'Tomorrowland' was originally set to be called '1952' and is set to be released on May 22nd 2015.

The Gravity star emerged as top of Hollywood's female earners, but just how did she reach this accolade?
The results of Forbes annual celebrity rich list are in and it is with a certain amount of surprise thatSandra Bullockwas the highest paid film star of the past year. Bullock raked in over $51 million (that just over £30 million) and it seems that the 50 year-old has made some very shrewd decisions over the past years over which films she attached her name to, and not all of them looked like sure-fire box-office smashes, on paper at least.
Sandra's box-office success has exerted a gravitational pull on all cash in her vicinity.
Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuaron and also starring George Clooney, cost a whopping $100 million to produce thanks to its almost exclusive reliance on extensive special effects. Yet the film excelled with audiences and critics alike, scooping seven Oscars as well as a host of BAFTA’s. Bullock also duly received an Oscar nomination for her role as the astronaut caught in a potentially catastrophic disaster in Earth’s orbit. Gravity drew $716 million in global box-office takings, awarding Bullock and co-star Clooney a tidy sum for their efforts which included a gruelling shooting experience whereupon the leading duo were suspended from wires and trapped in claustrophobic space suits.

Following Clooney's reaction, The Mail has issued an apology.

We’ve got a new idol. Not only is Amal Alamuddin a graduate of Oxford University, as well as a top humanitarian lawyer and UN adviser, she’s also engaged to George Clooney. Yes, someone has actually managed to get the serial bachelor to put a ring on it and even better, she’s not a supermodel!
George Clooney has dated a string of supermodels and famous actresses
Don’t get us wrong, she’s a very striking looking woman, but Clooney’s track record suggested that he was an incurable modelizer (for those who haven’t seen the early episodes of Sex and the City, a modelizer is a man who strictly dates models). Sure, he’s thrown a few actresses (and one cocktail waitress) in there as well, but he’s rarely veered away from the entertainment industry when picking his lady friends. Until now, and we're so pleased about it!

The 52 year-old actor and the hotel magnate both tell very different accounts of what caused their heated argument in a Las Vegas restaurant.
George Clooney is known to be passionate about politics, but nearly getting into a fight is something new.
The 52 year-old Hollywood icon found himself walking out of a Las Vegas restaurant earlier this month after getting into a war of words with hotel magnate Steve Wynn.
The pair's heated exchange took place at Botero restaurant and began after President Obama's name popped up, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
European cinema is rich pickings for Hollywood directors.
American producers are always looking for material to turn into movies, so it's no surprise that they continually remake European hits. Recent examples include of course David Fincher's 2011 remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (based on the 2009 Swedish film), as well as smaller movies like Prince Avalanche (2011's Icelandic movie Either Way), the Steve Carell comedy Dinner for Schmucks (France's 1998 romp Le Diner de Cons) and the upcoming thriller Brick Mansions (2004's District 13, also from France).
George Clooney Had A Rare Misfire With 'The Monuments Men'
Now producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov have snapped up the rights to the hit Norwegian thriller Pioneer, which has just opened in the UK. A well-known story in Scandinavia, it's based on true events surrounding Norwegian and American divers whose health was damaged after working 400 metres below the ocean surface to lay an oil pipeline 40 years ago. After a long court battle, the European Court of Human Rights last year ruled that the Norwegian government was guilty of not providing adequate warnings about the risk.

[Spoilers] A fan-made video asks where the "rock" that smashed up Explorer could have come from...
A new video has been posted online that makes us think twice about space disaster thriller Gravity. Claiming that the clip "redefines entire movie," the fan-edited footage takes a closer look at how Sandra Bullock's character could have been saved (sooner) and what the object that smashed her little workstation and sent her spinning into space may have really been.
'Gravity': But What's That Red & Blue Thing In The Distance?
Somehow Alfonso Cuarón forgot to include this clip in the final version of his Oscar-winning triumph but thanks to the good old internet we can share it here and now with you today. Everyone has seen that haunting/touching spin-off Inuit fisherman Aningaaq scene, directed by Cuarón's son Jonas, but this new "alternate scene" is about to blow your mind with the possibilities of the movie's other 'secrets.'

Newly married Stacy Keibler
Long before she found herself on George Clooney’s arm, Stacy was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Raven’s football team, but soon the 5 foot 11 blonde would find herself on a different career path altogether. After being introduced to professional wrestling by her then boyfriend, Stacy entered a contest in 1999 to find the newest ‘Nitro Girl’ for World Championship Wrestling, (WCW). Eternal bachelor, George Clooney
A long time ago in 1988, before George Clooney’ was famous or had a reputation, he was dating actress Kelly Preston. The relationship between the two future Hollywood stars was pretty serious, not just because the two moved in together, but because George gave Kelly a very special gift to symbolise their love, a pig named Max. Sadly for George Kelly didn't stick around too long, but happily when she left he got to keep the pig! Indeed whilst some may think George has a problem with commitment, he stayed loyal to Max the pig for nearly 20 years, until his death in 2006. Kelly of course moved on as well and is now married to John Travolta.
