Actress Gena Rowlands has been forced to sit out of filming on her new movie THE SKELETON KEY for five weeks, after slipping and suffering a fractured shoulder on the set.

Rowlands suffered the fall on the rainy and muddy set of the UNIVERSAL movie in New Orleans, Louisiana last Monday night (26APR04).

She was taken to TULANE UNIVERSITY's hospital, where doctors decided not to perform surgery, but rather to examine her healing progress during her five-week hiatus from the film, which also stars Kate Hudson and John Hurt.
