Gemma Arterton's family dislike her films.

The British actress - who played Io in recent movie remake 'Clash of the Titans' - admits her loved ones aren't afraid to be honest with her, even if they have a negative opinion of her work.

She said: "I'm from working-class stock. It's like, 'We're going to be straight with you,' and it's refreshing.

"My mum texted recently, 'I just saw 'Clash of the Titans'. Yeah. It's alright.' Then my cousin emailed, 'Just saw 'Clash of the Titans', not a great film but the effects were good."

The 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' actress also admitted she is tired of seeing herself on movie posters after several of her films came out over a short period of time.

She added: "I was a bit p***ed off because a lot of the films I've done are coming out within two months of each other. It's like, 'Oh God, everyone is going to be sick of me.' Even my friends were going, 'I saw your ugly face again on the tube.' "
