In this, er, documentary, residents of a Canadian 'burb are juxtaposed with academic talking heads, riding empty buses into town and bemoaning the very existence of the suburbs, decrying everything from their architecture to their absurd design that puts park benches opposite the freeway and a chain-link fence.

Scott's parents are crazy about their living room -- one of those pristine model environments where the carpet has to vacuumed just so. Most of the party consists of keeping people out of said room, while Scott complains about his older brother (who eventually runs off with Scott's girlfriend), and getting the gang (none of the remainder are big (or even medium) names like Speedman) out of all manner of scrapes.

Tom (Fabrizio Filippo), Sandra (Marya Delver), Randy (Tobias Godson), and Curt (Gordon Currie) are, possibly due to boredom, in the midst of a bet to see who can survive the longest without leaving the corridors and buildings that connect their downtown area. A month's worth of salary is at stake to prove their stubborn will surpasses their peers. What helps is that most of the area near their office is connected to life's necessities though passages that join one building to the next. Hence, they are able to go home at night, eat food at the mall, and so on without having to actually encounter the great urban outdoors.
