Country superstar Garth Brooks has announced plans for a comeback after retiring to become a family man in 2001.
The singer/songwriter has performed a series of one-off charity shows and released exclusive hits packages in recent years, but now he's planning a full return to the studios and stages.
At a press conference in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday (15Oct09), Brooks confessed he was a little nervous about returning to an industry that has been taken over by youngsters.
He told reporters, "I'm not sure I'll be welcomed back but, if the fans want me, I still want to pursue my music."
Full details of his comeback have not bee released but Brooks is expected to announce an extended concert run at the Wynn Las Vegas casino and hotel in the coming weeks.
