It's an exciting day for 'Game Of Thrones' fans because HBO have just unveiled some new images from the upcoming season 6 which have already got the cogs in our minds working. They don't really confirm an awful lot about what to expect from the next season, but it certainly teases a few ideas.

Isaac Hempsted-Wright and Max von Sydow in Game Of ThronesBran Stark is back and accompanied by the Three-Eyed Raven

First of all it has to be said that there are no new images of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) since that ambiguous blood-stained face picture, but there are more of his younger brother Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) who we haven't seen for a whole season, not since the Season 4 finale 'The Children'. He looks like his standing up too, contrary to what he was told by the Three-Eyed Raven that he wouldn't be able to walk again and that he'd only be able to fly. He's actually accompanied by the Three-Eyed Raven too, played by new actor Max von Sydow.

Carice van Houten in Game Of ThronesWill Melisandre save Jon Snow?

It's already been suggested that Bran's return could mean Jon Snow's resurrection, given all his new-fangled powers. But failing that, Melisandre aka The Red Priestess (Carice van Houten) has also returned to Castle Black which means that she could be the one on hand to bring Snow back from the dead with her own powers; after all, she was rather fond of him. However, she could be facing some deep trouble herself following the death of Shireen whom she persuaded Stannis to sacrifice in the name of her prophecies.

Nell Tiger Free, Dean Charles Chapman and Nikolaj Coster Waldau in 'Game Of Thrones'Myrcella is definitely dead

Meanwhile, it doesn't look like there's any raising Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free), whose body has been brought back to the Red Keep after being poisoned by Ellaria. Her so-called uncle Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) who she'd only just found out was actually her father, and her brother Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) look crestfallen at the sight of her corpse.

Nikolaj Coster Waldau and Lena Headey in Game Of ThronesJaime and Cersei Lannister are reunited

Jaime has even more family trouble to deal with. His twin sister and lover Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) has survived a humiliating punishment for adultery, incest and treason on the orders of the High Sparrow and now appears to be out of prison. She even seems to be still close with Jaime looking at the picture, but there's nothing to suggest their future.

Conleth Hill and Peter Dinklage in Game Of ThronesTyrion is glad Varys is back by his side

Cersei's brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is still ruling Meereen in Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) absence, and while that may seem like a rather difficult position to find oneself in, he is at least reunited with his old friend and Master of Whisperers Varys, who we haven't seen in a while and Tyrion has clearly missed.

Emilia Clarke in Game Of ThronesDaenerys has been captured by the Dothraki

As for what has happened to Daenerys, she and her unruly pet dragon Drogon have flown away but after the latter refused to take her back, she's left to forage for herself and eventually finds herself trapped by a Dothraki horde. She looks fairly safe and sound though in the new images, though she appears to be held hostage.

Maisie Williams in Game Of ThronesArya Stark is still blind after her run in at the House of Black and White

Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) looks less safe and sound, however, apparently still very much blind after breaking the rules of the House of Black and White in 'Mother's Mercy'. There's not an awful lot she can do without her sight given that fighting and killing is her main occupation.
