28 year-old Gadot will bring Wonder Woman to the big screen for the first time alongside Henry Cavill, who'll reprise his Superman role, as well as the recently-cast Ben Affleck as Batman. Gal's three picture deal will reportedly be fulfilled with a Justice League movie and a Wonder Woman standalone film.

The Israeli entertainment show Good Evening with Gai Pines reported that Gadot will earn $300,000 per film and was the first to suggest that the actress was signed for three movies. Wonder Woman is expected to have a small role in Snyder's movie, which will bring the tension between Batman and Superman to the fore. However, the Fast & Furious star's introduction in the movie will pave the way for a larger role in the Justice League movie and subsequently her own solo, standalone Wonder Woman film.

Den of Geek points out that fans shouldn't jump the gun and take the news as gospel until an official confirmation from the studios as it's a pretty well-worn insurance move to sign an actor for a number of films regardless of whether they'll be used or not. Until an announcement is made, it's purely speculation, but given that Ben Affleck is known to have signed to play Batman over "multiple" movies, and Henry Cavill also signed for three movies, Warner Bros.' plan for the future of the franchise becomes more certain.

Anyway, a three movie commitment is nothing compared to what Marvel actors have been known to sign for. The studio has been known to sign actors for seven appearances (including cameos and one-shots as well as features) as part of a standard contract.

Batman Vs. Superman was originally expected in 2015 but had to have its release date pushed back to the 6th May 2016.
