Aussie pop star Gabriella Cilmi's debut track SWEET ABOUT ME was the most played song in the U.K. in 2009, according to the official body for song royalties.
PRS for Music - the organisation which ensures songwriters are paid the correct amount in royalties - has compiled the top ten songs that were played in Britain, either on the radio, on TV, online, or in concert, over the last 12 months.
Cilmi's Sweet About Me, which was released in 2008, topped the list, with Coldplay's comeback track Viva La Vida coming in second.
Bizarelly, dance act Moloko's The Time Is Now was in at number three - despite being released almost ten years ago.
Welsh sensation Duffy was in the fourth position with Mercy, while Take That were at number five with Shine.
