Aussie singer Gabriella Cilmi was left baffled when she arrived to perform at a private gig in Russia - after she was surrounded and searched by swarm of cops.
The Sweet About Me star was recently flown out to the former Soviet Union to play at an exclusive party for a mystery member of Russia's high-society.
But the singer was stunned to find she had to face a series of searches before being given the green light to appear alongside a range of bizarre acts.
She tells WENN, "I did a private gig in Russia that was in this massive old ballroom and it was completely surrounded by police - they were stationed all around the venue.
"It was really weird, they checked all our bags before we came in and we weren't allowed to bring anything in or take anything out. And all they had all night (to eat) was blue caviar.
"And all the acts were really strange - they had Egyptian acts. It was weird, you felt like you were part of some secret society. It was for some rich man who was having a party. I'm not sure who he was!"
