Rockers Fuel were so impressed by American Idol wannabe Chris Daughtry's rendition of their hit HEMORRHAGE on the TV talent show the members of the band have asked him to become their new frontman. Bald-headed rocker Daughtry was voted off the hit show earlier this month (MAY06) but made it to the final four - and now he has been given the chance to join one of his favourite bands. Fuel recently parted company with singer BRETT SCALLIONS, who joined the group in 1994 and enjoyed hits with the band like Hemorrhage, FALLS ON ME and NATURAL SELECTION.
American Idol wannabe Chris Daughtry has fans in high places after performing rock classic HAEMORRHAGE by Fuel on the show on Wednesday (01MAR06) - the band themselves. The Pennsylvania-based rockers are huge fans of the TV show and were stunned when Daughtry chose to perform their anthem live to America. Bass player JEFF ABERCROMBIE says, "This guy delivered and he delivered like he had written the song."
Fuel frontman BRETT SCALLIONS was forced to apologise on stage last night when he accidentally swore during his group's live set at last night's (18JAN05) INAUGURAL YOUTH CONCERT in Washington DC.
Performing before PRESIDENT George W Bush's daughters JENNA and BARBARA, Scallions yelled, "Welcome to the greatest f**king country in the world," during the group's set.
Before organisers could act, the singer realised his error and apologised to the crowd.
