Freida Pinto wowed in an elegant green dress at the premiere of her new movie 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' on Thursday (28th July 2011). The Indian actress was joined by co-stars James Franco and Tom Felton at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, reports the UK's Daily Mail.
Pinto, who was also wearing patent leather pumps, plays the lead role of 'Caroline Aranha' in Rupert Wyatt's new flick, set in present day San Francisco. The movie focuses on a process of genetic engineering that leads to the development of intelligent apes, resulting in a war for supremacy. Despite Pinto's stunning outfit - she was almost eclipsed by Harry Potter star Rupert Grint who donned a humorous choice of outfit in support of his friend and co-star. The actor wore a t-shirt with the message "I Love Tom Felton" emblazoned on the front, much to the delight of the waiting crowds. Felton himself opted for a sharper choice of outfit - donning a smart three-piece suit.
Pinto, best known for her portrayal of 'Latika' in the Academy Award winning movie 'Slumdog Millionaire', recently starred in Woody Allen's 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger' and won huge acclaim for her role in the controversial political flick 'Miral'.
