Prince Frederic von Anhalt and Zsa Zsa Gabor are excited about their own Oscars party at home.

While the 96-year-old actress is too frail to attend the ceremony or its after parties, she still loves the glitz and glamour of the Academy Awards so her husband has decided to make the day special by arranging for their own private viewing party at their Hollywood home today (24.02.13).

Speaking at the eighth annual Oscar Wilde: Honouring the Irish in Film party at 'Lost' producer J.J Abrams' Bad Robot Productions in Santa Monica on Thursday (21.02.13), Frederic exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''I have been invited to many parties but I will probably just go to the Vanity Fair party after I watch the awards with my wife.

''She used to go to them all the time so with events like the Oscars, I comfort her because it does upset her that she cannot go anymore. We watch it on television. She wants me to go but I want to be with her. We will watch it in her bedroom and chat about the nominees and everyone, it makes her feel good. I would love to go but I also love being with my wife. I want her to be comfortable and happy.''

Even when he is out at parties, Prince Frederic, 69, makes sure to take pictures of the events so he can report back to Zsa Zsa.

He said: ''I tell her everything I'm doing and she smiles. I take pictures so that I can show her what I have been doing and who is there. I put them on the big screen and we look at them together.''
