British comedian Freddie Starr has been arrested for the second time in less than a month.

The veteran entertainer attended a police station in England on Wednesday (12Feb14) to answer bail and was arrested by officers working on Operation Yewtree, a wide-ranging investigation launched after late entertainer Sir Jimmy Savile was unmasked as a serial paedophile.

The 71 year old's arrest is said to be in connection with historical sex offences. He has been released on bail until April (14).

Starr was first arrested in connection with Operation Yewtree in 2012, and he was re-arrested last month (Jan14) as police probed fresh allegations.
