Franz Ferdinand bassist BOB HARDY has no plans to re-enact his dreadful behaviour on the night the Scottish band released their first single in America - because he was involved in a bar brawl.

The rocker is currently in the US promoting Franz Ferdinand's sophomore album YOU COULD HAVE IT SO MUCH BETTER, and shivers at the thought of what happened when he was in the country publicising smash hit TAKE ME OUT.

Hardy says, "We were in America then too.

"The night the single came out I got thrown out of a bar, they called me a 'douche bag' and I ended up fighting a barman.

"I won't be recreating that for good luck."
