Kathryn Grayson, an MGM contract player during the Golden Age of Hollywood musicals, died Wednesday in Los Angeles at age 88. She first achieved stardom opposite Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly in the 1945 musical Anchors Aweigh , then went on to star in such MGM classics as Show Boat, Ziegfeld Follies, The Desert Song, and Kiss Me Kate. Her costars included Howard Keel (three films), Mario Lanza (two films) and Gordon MacRae (one film).
