The retired sports star checked into a medical facility to tackle his mental health problems just days after completing a half-marathon on Sunday (13Sep15), and he has cancelled his upcoming appearances to focus on his recovery.

A representative for Bruno, Dave Davies, tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "After a very busy period, Frank decided to seek medical assistance to help with a severe bout of depression."

Bruno previously received treatment in a psychiatric hospital in 2003 and 2012 after he was sectioned under Britain's Mental Health Act, and he later became a campaigner on mental health issues.
