Frances Bean Cobain has spoken out about her mother Courney Love's spat with Dave Grohl, insisting the Foo Fighters star never made a pass at her. Speaking to US Weekly magazine, Frances - the daughter of Courtney and Kurt Cobain - slams her mother for her Twitter rants aimed at close friend Grohl.
The usually private Frances explained, "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship, and very happy". Frances, who is reportedly engaged to the Rambles singer Isaiah Silva, added, "Twitter should ban my mother". The tirade took place earlier this week on Courtney Love's private Twitter account, which is confined to around 548 followers. However, Gawker quoted the Hole singer as saying Grohl was "sexually obsessed" with her late husband Kurt and that he attempted to hit on Frances. The former Nirvana drummer quickly issued a statement denying the allegations, saying, "Unfortunately, Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive, and absolutely untrue".
Courtney has since hit back, telling the New York Daily News that Grohl would regularly hit on her back on the day, and slept with four of her bass players.
