Former Fox News host Glenn Beck got a particularly swift back-of-the-hand on Monday from the cable network that made him a household name among conservatives. During an appearance at New York University's Stern School of Business, Beck had remarked that he quit after feeling, If you do not leave now, you won't leave with your soul intact. The remark drew a blunt reprimand from a Fox News spokesperson who sent an email to's Mike Allen: Glenn Beck wasn't trying to save his soul, he was trying to save his ass. Advertisers fled his show and even Glenn knows what that means in our industry. Yet, we still tried to give him a soft landing. Guess no good deed goes unpunished.
