New Skylar Grey Video ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ Stars Eminem Doing Auto-Tuned Queen Chorus

Eminem Skylar Grey Queen Rihanna Dr Dre Lupe Fiasco Fort Minor

The new Skylar Grey video of ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ featuring Eminem is a crash course in a total lack of subtlety. “If you got a sweet tooth/ you can taste my watermelon,” she sings in the opening line… whilst cupping her breast, just in case you didn’t get the joke. Luckily, Skylar’s tongue is well and truly situated in her cheek. Which is pretty much what you’d expect for a song featuring an auto-tuned Eminem singing Queen’s ‘I Like To Ride My Bicycle.’

In fact, if this video was not intended to be comical, we’d all be in trouble: featuring bikini clad girls with three breasts and over-inflated collagen lips, a ridiculously daft but catchy chorus, and footage of Skylar cycling around in a pair of denim cut-offs, on a bicycle adorned with antlers. It's entertainment in its gaudiest, most glorious form.

If you’re wondering who Skylar Grey is, she’s the 26 year-old artist who co-wrote three different versions of ‘Love The Way You Lie,’ made famous by Rihanna and Eminem. She’s also got previous form as a vocalist for Dr Dre, Lupe Fiasco and Fort Minor. She released her debut solo album Like Blood Like Honey back in 2006 and her second Don’t Look Down, is scheduled for a 2013 release. If this latest video’s anything to go by, we reckon Skylar’s going to be one to watch. She certainly seems to have bundles of humour and personality, not to mention talent. Oh and she’s clearly good mates with Eminem. What’s not to like!?

Big Wins For Blunt And Gnarls Barkley At Messy Mtv Vmas

Gnarls Barkley's CRAZY and James Blunt's YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL were the big winners at last night's (31AUG06) MTV Video Music Awards in New York, claiming two prizes.
Gnarls Barkley's artistic video claimed Best Direction and Best Editing prizes before the awards had even started, while Blunt's You're Beautiful claimed the Best Male Video and Best Cinematography honours.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were big losers, failing to win any of the seven awards they were nominated for, and Shakira only claimed one of her seven nominations.
Another big loser was the awards show itself, which was a mess of problems and ill-advised jokes.
Former US Vice President Al Gore served up a serious but ill-timed environmental message after drunken members of the Jackass team made a mockery of Fall Out Boy's Viewer's Choice Award acceptance speech.
A skit pre-recorded by Britney Spears and Kevin Federline - poking fun at their poor parenting skills - failed to raise a laugh, and comedienne Sarah Silverman added an awkward moment when she poked fun at presenter Paris Hilton's 'weight problems'.
Meanwhile, ceremony host Jack Black seemed confused through much of the evening as he desperately tried to keep the messy show together.
To top the evening off, a gatecrasher grabbed a microphone from Video Of The Year winners PANIC! AT THE DISCO and delivered a puzzling blast to MTV bosses.
The mystery man said, "My name is SIX. MTV never gave me my own show so I want everybody around the world to log onto MTV6000.com and give it up to these guys - big up REMY MAS, STARBLAZE and Philadelphia," before he was bundled offstage by minders.
The ceremony ended with a crazed Axl Rose taking to the stage and screaming an expletive at the audience before introducing final act The Killers.
As for the rest of the awards, they were completely spread out with punk-pop acts PANIC! AT THE DISCO and FALL OUT BOY claiming the night's biggest honours for Video Of The Year and Viewer's Choice Award respectively.
The full list of award winners were:
