Aron 'Eric' Aranbayev, a co-owner of diamond merchants Rafaello & Co., died on Monday (20Jul15) after he was hit by a car close to his home in Queens on Sunday night (19Jul15).

During his career, he worked with stars including reality TV regular Khloe Kardashian, rappers Jay Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs, and sportsman Mayweather, Jr., who has now contributed $10,000 (£6,250) to a reward fund for information about the incident.

His contribution takes the total reward to $50,000 (£31,250).

The news comes after Alicia Keys' musician husband Swizz Beats added a tribute to Aranbayev on Instagram.com, sharing a collage of pictures of the jeweller with his celebrity clients and adding in a caption, "I would like to send my condolences to (Aranbayev) and his entire family... This loss is super sad! Eric was the good guy everyone loved... RIP Eric Rafaello..."
