Flo Rida and a host of other urban music acts including Sean Paul, Tinchy Stryder, Mindless Behaviour and Devlin have been added to the line-up of Radio 1's Hackney Weekend.
Flo Rida has joined the star-studded line up for BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend 2012.
The US rapper is one of a number of urban music acts including Sean Paul, Tinchy Stryder, Mindless Behaviour, Chip, Devlin, Boy Better Know Feat Skepta & JME and Azealia Banks who are set to perform on the 1Xtra stage at the extravaganza in East London in June.
They will join the likes of previously-confirmed acts Professor Green, will.i.am, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Ed Sheeran, Dappy, Lana Del Rey, Chase & Status, Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Leona Lewis, Florence & The Machine and Jessie J, who recently spoke about the ''honour'' of performing so close to her home.
She said: ''It's so exciting. Radio 1's Big Weekend last year was my first-ever festival.
''I remember walking on stage and worrying: 'Are they are going to throw things at me'.
''But I loved it. Now for it to be in Hackney, next to the farm where I used to go as a kid, along with so many artists I respect means I'm so excited.''
Tickets are free, but there will be a fee of £2.50 per ticket to cover handling and administration costs.
The majority of tickets will be reserved for those from Hackney and the other five Olympic boroughs, with allocation on a first-come, first-served basis but it is necessary to register before Monday 19 March at bbc.co.uk/radio1.
For those that have registered there will be two opportunities to apply for a ticket - 11am on Sunday 25 March and 4pm on Monday 26 March, online or by phone.
