LATEST: Fleetwood Mac founder Mick Fleetwood's daughter has stunned doctors with her speedy recovery just weeks after almost drowning in a California pool incident last month (Jul08).
The rocker's six-year-old daughter Ruby was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Thursday (31Aug08) after doctors deemed the tot fit enough to return home.
Ruby passed out in the pool and was revived by CPR before she was rushed to the hospital's intensive care unit for emergency treatment.
And the child has shocked medics by battling her way to good health in just 12 days, with the tot's mum Lynn telling reporters she had "blown them away" with her determination.
In an official statement, Lynn says, "The doctors at Cedars are stunned by our little fighter.
"Based on the condition Ruby was in when she arrived at the hospital 12 days ago, none of them expected her to have come this far in such a short time. She has blown them away with her strength and her will to survive."
She adds, "Her smile is bright, her eyes sparkle and her sense of humour is funnier than ever before."
