Three members of Fleetwood Mac have reunited in the studio to work on new material for Lindsey Buckingham.
Buckingham, who was one of the chief songwriters in the legendary band, has being recording tracks with other members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie for his fifth solo album GIFT OF SCREWS.
Some songs for the album were recorded as far back as 2001 and were subsequently aired live on The Dance tour, reports Uncut.
Commenting on the forthcoming album, Buckingham said: "This album distills several periods of time. It has false starts to make albums, songs that go back a number of years that took a while to find a home and brand-new songs."
Earlier this year, Buckingham hinted that a full Fleetwood Mac reunion tour could be on the cards for 2009.
However, plans for Sheryl Crow to join the band as part of next year's tour have now been abandoned.
